The First Men's Glossybox! (December 2012)

I know I got this back in December, but it's better late than never!

(in order of photographs)
1. Shaveworks - The Cool Fix
2. Goldwell - Dualsenses For Men Hair & Body Shampoo, StyleSign Roughman - Matte Cream Paste
3. Monu - Vitru Conditioning Body Wash, Vitru Energy Rub
4. Murad - Clarifying Mask
5. Yves Saint Laurent - La Nuit De L'Homme, L'Homme

Overall i'm really pleased with this first box, and I generally like most of the products.

I'll start with the thing's i least enjoyed; the Goldwell products.
I've spent a while trying to find the best products to use on my hair, and although these do what they say they do, i'm just not keen on the overall finish of the products. I guess with hair products it's down to personal preference, but I won't be rushing out to buy the full size.

The Monu products were really nice to use, but easily comparable to other drugstore products in my opinion.

I'm a huge fan of Yves Saint Laurent Fragrances, so I was super pleased to find them when I opened my glossybox, luckily they were fragrances I haven't tried or  owned before. And i L.O.V.E.D them! I seriously need to add them to my collection (which is already overgrown)

I don't often find myself using face masks, so it was strange for me when I tried the Murad Clarifying mask. All in all I think it helped my skin and would love to try it again, it didn't leave my skin too oily afterwards which I was wary of but it left my skin moisturised and very soft.

Last but not least is my favourite product of them all, the Shaveworks - The Cool Fix. I cannot even put into words how much I loved this!! I knew straight away that it was going to be perfect, although it says it is for shaving and waxing I feel it is good for plenty more. It soothes the skin in such a way that words cannot describe, I find myself using this most when i'm plucking my eyebrows or any unwanted hairs (eek). And I will definitely be purchasing the full size, even though it may be a tad pricey (£31 for a 156ml bottle), I don't think it would run out in a hurry and be a worthwhile investment!

This first Glossybox has really set the bar high for future boxes so I will of course stay subscribed, and (hopefully) post more post's about every box I get!

Essential's For Mens Winter Fashion - Outerwear

Although it may not feel like it right now in the UK, winter is soon to be upon us, so I'm going to share my winter essentials for this year.

Let's begin with the most important things. A good variety of jackets/outerwear is a necessity, i would defiantly recommend choosing different styles and textures so you can mix things up throughout the season.

Quilted jackets were in last year and it seems they're in this year too, being stocked in designer boutiques as well  as our favourite high street stores, the best I've seen on the high street has to be these two, both from Zara.
      Zara £39.99                                                        Zara £89.99
I just love the look of these jackets, the cut of the left one is perfect for a casual day and the finish of the right one with leather piping and leather on the shoulder adds a unique touch.
No winter wardrobe is complete without some plain zip-up sweatshirt hoodies from  American Apparel, these are perfect basic hoodies, they're great for keeping warm and have such an iconic look, my personal favourite colours for this winter would be;
American Apparel £40per/£60twin pack (Colours from left-right Truffle-Sea Blue-Pewter-Forest)
These colours would be perfect for this winter as they are very toned down, brighter sweatshirts to me should be worn in the spring/summer.

My final main outerwear essential is the Gilet, like the quilted jacket it made a break into the high street last winter and will be here again this year. These are my high street picks.
Jack wills £98 (left;Evergreen right;Wine)                                      River Island £50 (Khaki)
These Gilet's would go perfectly with any of the sweatshirts I mentioned earlier, paired with a patterned knit jumper or a basic t-shirt.

This post is part one of my Men's Winter Fashion Essentials collection. I will soon be posting my other Winter Essentials, including tops/jumpers, trousers&denim's and accessories.

Thanks for reading,
